Birthday Parties at Canterbury Environmental Education Centre!

We provide:

  • Experienced , friendly leaders.
  • A unique setting.
  • 1 ½ hours of fun and informative activities for up to 12 children, led by CEEC staff, plus 30 minutes for birthday lunch or tea.
  • Use of our lakeside picnic site (or indoor classroom in poor weather).
  • Optional CEEC party bags (extra charge).
  • A free gift for each child if you have an environmentally friendly party by: car sharing , making your own party food to reduce packaging waste, using re-useable plates and cups, and recycling your rubbish!

    You Provide:
  • Party food
  • Plates , cutlery and cups etc.
  • Supervising adults (1 for every 2 children aged 5 and under, or 1 for every 6 children aged 6 and over)
  • Suitable outdoor clothing

Activity Choices:

Suitable for Children age 4-7 years:

Hedgehog or squirrel trail - Follow a trail around the nature reserve, find clues and collect natural materials to make your own clay hedgehog or squirrel.

Teddy Bears' Picnic - Bring your teddy bear for an adventure with Edward bear at CEEC! Explore the nature reserve, make a teddy-sized ‘bushcraft' shelter, and play games!

Woodland Explorers – Hunt for minibeasts in the woods, play games and make a minibeast model to take home!

Suitable for age 7-12years:

Pond Explorers - Discover more about the amazing creatures that live in the lake through pond-dipping and a fun bingo game!

Bushcraft -Take up our woodland survival challenge: Build camps with your friends and look for wild forest food!

Charges: £60 per party, including a £10 deposit payable to secure your booking (please make cheques payable to Kent County Council)

Availability: Birthday parties are available on Sundays any time between 10.30am and 3.30pm April-October, subject to staff availability.
