Common Reed From this point we can see one of the biggest problems we face in managing the reserve. Ten years ago this was an area of open water and the nearby bird hide was built to help us observe the water birds. Today the whole area has become a bed of Common Reed. We are clearing some of the reed, but keeping the rest to provide a nesting site for Reed Warblers. | |
