Wooded Area
In this area self-sown tree seedlings have now grown into some magnificent trees. Silver Birch and Ash are common here. Also the non-native Sycamore tree which sets thousands of seedlings every year. This is the only place in the reserve where Old Manís Beard grows, this is because it likes lime-rich soil, here it is growing on old brick and lime rubble.
