The centre gardens are a valuable resource for sensory work and other studies. The Sensory Garden is ideal for making "Smelly Cocktails" and as the start point for a number of trails, including the "Hedgehog Trail", "Wayfinding" and the "Sculpture Trail". Several sculptures by local artists can be viewed from the "Sensory Garden", prior to discovering others further afield around the reserve. The "Wildlife Garden" is a demonstration of what might be achieved in a small urban garden by planting and designing for wildlife.
