What is there to do?

  • Follow the lakeside Kingfisher Trail through beautiful natural habitats.
  • Try your hand at pond dipping and find out what lives in our lake.
  • Visit the ‘Friends of CEEC' bird-hide on Teddy Bears' Island and see if you can spot a Heron or Kingfisher.
  • Play hide and seek in Canterbury Woods.
  • Younger visitors will have fun at CEEC with our Hedgehog trail and brass rubbings - ask at the Visitor Centre on arrival to find out more.
  • Enjoy a picnic by the lake or a cup of fair-trade tea and a snack in our Visitor Centre.
  • Relax in our Sensory Garden.
  • Allow at least 1-2 hours for your visit, including a stop at our Visitor Centre for refreshments, information and souvenirs.
  • Free on site parking.
  • Easy access trails.
